MUMBAI, October 20, 2022 – JITO Angel Network (JAN), the only global community-based angel network in India, announced a strategic partnership with global venture investing platform OurCrowd. Under the terms of the agreement, JAN and OurCrowd will establish a distribution relationship focused on building an investment offering for JITO’s members. This will include offering curated access to venture capital funds and individual portfolio companies on a deal-by-deal basis. The partnership will increase collaborative startup investment between Indian and Israeli companies.
“We are proud to have found a partner in OurCrowd, one of the largest venture capital firms in Israel and the country’s most active startup investor. This deal will empower inventive and ingenious companies in two of the most robust technology ecosystems in the world,” said Rajat Mehta, Chairman, JITO Incubation and Innovation Foundation. “The JITO community has experienced members who can provide our portfolio companies with countless opportunities in India and abroad.”
The partnership agreement was announced on the heels of the first co-investment made by JAN and OurCrowd in September, into Israeli AgTech startup BetterSeeds.
“We’re extremely excited and grateful to be partnering with JAN. Their investment in BetterSeeds was just the first in what we hope will be many opportunities to work together,” said OurCrowd Founder and CEO Jon Medved. “We look forward to seeing our two communities further build our strong ties.”
