FLAME University hosts its convocation virtually for the Class of 2020 and 2021

FLAME University’s undergrad students explore Lucknow’s food culture in their research project

FLAME University, a pioneer of liberal education in India, virtually hosted its convocation ceremony on 4th September, 2021 for the graduating Class of 2020 and 2021. The University invited Mr. Prasoon Joshi – Poet, Writer and Chairperson of Central Board of Film Certification as the Chief Guest for the Convocation. Mr. Prasoon Joshi is an Advertising and Communication icon who has built mega brands, a writer who’s been honoured with the prestigious National Award by the President of India, and has also garnered glory at International Awards like Cannes, D&Ad, and plethora of others. Owing to the COVID-19 restrictions, the Convocation was held virtually, where students, parents and other guests attended the ceremony online.

Eminent Chief Guest for the convocation, Mr. Prasoon Joshi, said, “I am very fortunate to be part of this very important day, as this is a milestone for FLAME’s graduates. Even today I feel like a student, as learning never stops. Life is teaching you lessons every time and you have to be open and receptive to new learnings. It is important that you know your intent and keep seeking, and never stop learning. As you live, you learn. Authenticity, comes from your first-hand experience, the more you experience in life, the wiser you become. This is what I call experienced truth.”

Welcoming the virtual gathering by sharing his words of wisdom, Dr. Dishan Kamdar, Vice-Chancellor, FLAME University, said, “I would like to congratulate all the students who will be graduating today. As you get ready to step into the real world, I would like you to understand that you need to have patience and persistence to achieve success in life. The difference between a successful person and others is the insatiable hunger and curiosity to know and learn more. Continue to be a knowledge-seeker and a life-long learner. As you grow in life, be benevolent to people around you. It would make life more meaningful and fulfilling. Invest in continuing the friendships you have built with your fellow students, faculty and alumni, which will help you to leverage the successful FLAME University network in the future.”

The Chief Guest and Vice-Chancellor presented multiple awards and certificates which celebrated the academic and all-round excellence of FLAME’s graduates.
