Radio is the theatre of our mind – with an aim of giving our young Jaipurians a voice, experience of an educational journey replete with ingenuity and an opportunity to traverse their landscape of imagination, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Vasundhara, Ghaziabad held the inaugural ceremony of its first ever School Radio Station Spark on December 15, 2021. RJ Vidit Sharma from Radio Mirchi – a renowned figure in the Radio Industry was the Chief Guest for the day. The sonic event was graced by the Chairman Shri Shishir Jaipuria ji, Senior Advisor -Mr. Vinod Malhotra, Director Schools- Ms. Manju Rana, Principal- Ms. V. Suprabha and the Head Misttress- Ms. Sonal Srivastava and Ms. Indu Kohli along with an astute Radio Professional Ms. Barsha Chhabria.
The ceremonial lighting of the lamp marked the auspicious advent of the event followed by the Ribbon cutting ceremony. The guests had a peek into the radio studio equipped with modern paraphernalia-whose edifice promises an inclusive education for the jaipurians. The Chairman Shri Shishir Jaipuria ji in his address welcomed the Chief Guest RJ Vidit Sharma and praised him for adding colors into the life of the people through his wittiness and humour. To cope up with the dynamic changes ushered in by fourth revolution, he believed in bequeathing three Ts to the students- Technology, Talent and Tolerance bringing to fore the immense role of creative initiatives like Radio Station in accomplishing such goals.
The live interaction of the students with the Chief Guest RJ Vidit was the showstopper of this vivacious event. The vibrant narration of his personal and professional journey, sharing of some fascinating experiences ‘Being a Radio Jockey’ captivated the attention of one and all. Ms. Barsha too in her interaction told the students about the promising prospects of pursuing Radio Jockeying as a career, its prerequisites and the skills required to be in the field which connects us to millions who can’t reach us. Capturing the hearts of his juniors, Mr. Arya Chitrannsh, a budding Actor and Alumni enchanted all in a live repartee and self composed poems. Students, brimming with curiosity felt elated with the candid replies to their questions. Ms. Manju Rana, Director Schools too expounded the significance of Radio station in enhancing the communication, confidence, team work, vocational skills, listening and speaking skills. The befitting name of the radio station goes well with the underlying aim of empowering students by kindling their spark of talent.
The exciting event concluded with the vote of thanks by the Principal Ms. V. Suprabha. She was hopeful of the commencement of a new vigour in the educational journey with Radio station already sending the ripples of enthusiasm across the hearts of our students and teachers.
