Mumbai: UnMath School, a leading innovative teaching organization, announced the launch of a new 10-day program, UnMath District. With this program, the school aims to teach over 10,000 students across 200 schools in India. The company targets training over 5000 teachers to be able to teach math in a fun and enjoyable way. Some of the schools associated are Delhi Public School, Billabong High International School, Dunes International School, Birla Education Trust, Welhem Boys School, and Lawrence School.
With the re-opening of schools, UnMath is all set to make schools an exciting place for students to learn and understand the real-time application of mathematical concepts in almost every corner of the school, using every material available. Teachers are also trained in this programme to constantly integrate creative mathematics and to help them develop curriculum to include new ideas for engaging with students both online and offline.
Divesh Bathija, Co-Founder, UnMath School, said, “With close to 2 years of a gap in returning to school, it is critical to understand the emotional connection that the child has lost as a result of social distancing. We designed our UnMath District program with an understanding of the connection kids have lost with the school and their peers, as well as the thoughts and emotions students have about a subject like mathematics. Math is made understandable through practical and life-relevant concepts and modules in the program.”
The 10-day programme includes five interesting modules, each lasting two days: Green Math, Math Hotspots, Math in the City, Math Essay, and Gamify Math. The partner schools, on the other hand, can implement all or choose from the options. After the 10-day period, schools are also provided with remote assistance or guidance in the event of any doubts, and this assistance is not time-limited.
