Premjit Sen makes Bengal proud again

The above three words rightly suits the legendary karateka from West Bengal, Hanshi Premjit Sen. He is not only an administrator, as a President of Karate Do Association of Bengal (KAB), but also a devotee of Karate.

Premjit Sen has produce numerous champions at National and International championships like SAKF , AKF, WKF and Commonwealth . He is also the first Bengali to pass the referee exam of WKF.

A regular practitioner of Karate, he recently made Bengal proud by winning a Gold Medal and a Cash Reward of Rs. 10000/- at the National Master’s E-Kata Championship, organised by the Orissa State Karate Do Association.

52 players from all over India, mostly ex-national and international level players competed in this event.

“My wife is an inspiration to me. She was the one who pushed me to participate in this Championship. And here I am today, making my state proud once again”, said Hanshi Premjit Sen when asked about the reason of his success.

He once again proved that age is just a number and said that his students and players are his motivation. That’s why, like a devotee, he practices karate every single day.

It is due his never giving up and fighting spirit his well wishers out of love calls him the Bengal Tiger .

This type of veteran’s Championship was held for the first time in India.
