It was a great moment for Odisha state as well as Jajpur district, as Tata Steel’s much awaited steel plant at Kalinganaga has been commissioned. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday inaugurated Kalinganagar Steel Plant in Jajpur district in august presence of ministers and corporate magnets.
Speaking on the occasion, Patnaik said that the steel pant would be contribute at lot to the district and state’s economy.
The plant has been established in on the land spread across 2200 acres with an investment of Rs. 25,000 crore. Around three thousand people get direct employment in the plant whereas the commissioning of the steel plant in Jajpur district would generate indirect employment to around 22,000 thousand people.
On the occasion, Tata Company’s Chairman Cyrus Pallonji Mistry, Odisha Ministers – Debi Prasad Mishra, Prafulla Mallick and many other dignitaries were present.
