South of Vindhyas, The Orchid Mumbai presents a delectable and traditional treat on the occasion of Onam, the celebrated harvest festival of Kerala. The 5 days festival will bring the best gastronomy delights with the customary Kerala style Adipoli Onam Sadhya authentically served to the guests.
The festive fervor will be further enhanced with the restaurant adorning a traditional look with a boat decorated at the entrance with spices, a traditional lamp – Samay and a beautiful rangoli to usher the guests. The host and hostess will be wearing traditional saris, white dhoti, and kurtas. To embrace the festival South Indian music will also be played.
The grand feast is curated by our Master Chef Bala with his expertise of 30 years in the culinary industry. The food will be served on traditional banana leaf-laced plates. The Onam Sadhya sit-down Buffet will comprise a variety of Chips, Pachadi, Chamandis, Main course, Rice preparation, Bread, and Desserts. The elaborate main course includes Olan, Kalan, Erissery, Kichadi, Thoran, Avail, Paratu Mezhukkupuratti, Puliserry, Kootu Curry, Sambar, Uli Theeyal, Mango Curry, Kizhangu Stew, Steamed Rice, Lemon Sevai, Coconut Sevai, Appam, Kal Dosa, and Malabari Paratha give you a perfect feel of the Harvest Festival.
The Sadhya is accompanied by freshly prepared payasam which includes Ada Pradhaman, Kadala Pradhaman, Mambazha Pradhaman, Parippu Payasam, Pal Payasam, Nei Payasam, Godhumai Payasam, the taste of which you will savor till the next Onam!!!
