HerRising 2024 in Bangalore featured a vibrant mix of keynote speeches and workshops curated around women embracing their multifaceted roles while thriving in their careers. This year’s theme, #ToBeHer, celebrated women’s strength, resilience, and ambition across India.
Paroma Chatterjee, CEO – Revolut India “Encouraged women to embrace ambition and pursue their goals without fear. She also encouraged women to confidently assert themselves in male-dominated spaces and overcome societal expectations. In her keynote address, she emphasizes the importance of setting boundaries, saying no, and asking for what they deserve. Women are urged to proudly celebrate their achievements and prioritize their careers. The aim is to believe in oneself, use womanhood as an advantage, and never compromise on ambition.”
Muru Arjunan, Chief Technology Officer of HerKey, welcomed the audience and touched upon the 4Ms of a woman’s life- Marriage, Mobility, Motherhood & Medical Care. That’s why usually a woman’s career graph looks very different from a man’s. Muru also dwelled upon the importance of allies in a woman’s career. For every HER she needs a ForHer and HerKey brings both together on a common platform so that every woman gets what she needs to advance in her career and beyond with the power of communities.
Key highlight of HerRising 2024 was the unveiling of “The Broken Rung: Challenges in Women’s Career Progression”, a report co-authored by HerKey and the Prin. L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management.
