India: Hitachi Vantara, the digital infrastructure, data management and analytics, and digital solutions subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd. (TSE: 6501), has partnered with The Akshaya Patra Foundation as a part of its CSR initiative and donated one customised food delivery vehicle to the Foundation’s kitchen in Kandi in Sangareddy district of Telangana. Akshaya Patra serves over 80,000 Government school children from the Kandi kitchen. The newly donated vehicle will help the organisation reach out to over 4,000 beneficiary children in this region with nutritious, hygienic, and tasty mid-day meals every school day. Hitachi has been supporting Akshaya Patra’s Mid-Day Meal (MDM) Programme implementation for the last three years.
The vehicle was flagged off at Akshaya Patra’s Kandi kitchen on 9th October 2021 in the presence of Hitachi Vantara’s Digital Solutions leader Uday Chander, HR Head Ejaz Syed, and other business leaders – Chandrakanth Varaganti Tripti Arora -, James Bernard and Manoj Jajoo. On the behalf of Akshaya Patra, Shri Yagneshwara Prabhu, Vice President-Hyderabad Akshayapatra Chapter, Ms. Rajini Sinha, State Head flag-off event.
