SHEMROCK & SHEMFORD Group of Schools, one of South Asia’s fastest-growing school chains, organized a full-day workshop titled “A-Z of Opening a Successful School” for aspiring entrepreneurs interested in opening a playschool, primary school or senior secondary school at Hotel The Park, New Delhi. The workshop was conducted by Asia’s No.1 Schooling Expert and Limca Book of Records Holder (2013), Mr. Amol Arora (Vice Chairman and MD, SHEMROCK & SHEMFORD Group of Schools), it was a first-of-its-kind workshop by the school chain.
The workshop aimed at arming the participants with useful tips and strategies to not only set up a school but also to operate it successfully. It threw light on various investment requirements for different school types and some of the costly mistakes that can be avoided while establishing one’s own school. Participants were also given insights into choosing the right location for the school. Land and building requirements, as well as the list of steps for seeking the easy Government approvals, were shared. The workshop also drew comparisons between independent and franchisee schools to help participants make informed decisions. Additional sources of revenue that can be generated from schools were also discussed. Apart from these, all other concerns of why, when, where and how to launch a school were addressed, thereby clearing all the doubts the participants might have.
Speaking on the workshop, Mr. Amol Arora said, “Through the medium of these workshops, I intend to share all the knowledge and the skills that I have gathered over the past 30 years to help people successfully set up and operate schools. Having had an experience of running over 650 pre-schools, primary schools and 10+2 schools located across India, Nepal and Bangladesh, and mentored more than 500 entrepreneurs open successful schools, I can rightfully guide the aspiring entrepreneurs in the field of education. The idea is to increase the level of education in the country and create a holistic educational ecosystem for our students. I am looking forward to live up to my commitment of opening more schools in Delhi and surrounding cities.”
