“Education plays a critical role in our progress, especially in today’s data-driven world. At Qlik, we are committed to this transformation through our Academic Program. Competitions like our Datathons, where students build Qlik Sense applications, partnerships with educational institutions, and the Qlik Academic Program give students hands-on experience, offer free training and qualifications, thereby preparing them for a data-driven workplace.

Our Datathons are more than just competitions; they bridge classroom theory with real-world application, helping students explore their potential in data analytics. As data literacy becomes essential – IDC projects that by 2025, 70% of new jobs will require this skills – we are dedicated to making these skills accessible to everyone. Each Datathon helps students develop technical skills and the confidence to tackle complex problems, preparing them for future challenges. So far, Qlik specific datathons have been organised in various colleges and universities including Anurag University, Kristu Jayanti College, VJIT Hyderabad where students demonstrated their knowledge of Qlik Sense and built dashboards and visualizations from diverse datasets. Datathons are also a great platform for students to build on their collaboration, team work and presentation skills. Students get some useful feedback from judges who are industry experts so that makes their learning complete and ready for the real world.
