The child, Ms. Shreya (Name Changed), was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis with L5 S1 Spondyloptosis and Right-sided severe neglected rigid thoracolumbar scoliosis.

Placing screws in such a deformed spine is really challenging hence we advocated 3D bone model technology where a plastic SD bone model will be made similar to patient’s deformed spine pre-operatively based on ct scan. Doctors can plan spine instrumentation before as well as during surgery with the help of 3D model. This creates an avenue to perform surgery more precisely as well as safely.”
