Gurugram: KIIT World School, Gurugram, in collaboration with the Indian Centre for Plastics in the Environment (ICPE), hosted an informative workshop on the importance of plastic recycling. Educating children about plastic recycling is critical because it promotes environmentally responsible behavior and provides students with the knowledge and skills required to properly contribute to recycling initiatives.
Mr. Sudheer Khurana, Manager of Systems and Communications at ICPE, led the training and presented an in-depth explanation of the plastic recycling process. Mr. Khurana went into detail on each step of the recycling process, from collection and sorting to processing and producing new products, while highlighting the advantages of recycling plastic. Students actively participated in the highly interactive workshop, which helped them understand how important it is for them to promote recycling in their schools and communities.
The principal of KIIT World School, Dr. Neelima Kamrah, expressed her gratitude for the occasion by saying, “We are committed to fostering environmentally responsible citizens.” The workshop is a big step toward teaching our children how to live sustainably. Our students have gained invaluable knowledge from our partnership with ICPE that will allow them to have a positive impact on the environment.
