Bhubaneswar, Nov 5: Governor Raghubar Das emphasized that India is now home to one of the largest startup ecosystems globally, with Odisha emerging as a key center for nurturing young entrepreneurs. He made these remarks while addressing the gathering at the Tech Carnival 2024, held at the Rail Auditorium in Bhubaneswar and organized by Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT).
As the chief guest, Governor Das encouraged students to play an active role in realizing the vision of a ‘Viksit Odisha’ (Developed Odisha) and ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India), with technology serving as a key enabler. “We are living in a technology-driven age where individuals with technical skills can turn challenges into opportunities,” he stated.
Praising the role of educational institutions, the Governor commended BPUT for fostering a culture of innovation and excellence among Odisha’s youth. He viewed the Tech Carnival not only as a talent showcase but also as a platform for students to demonstrate their progressive outlook and ambition to shape the future through technology.
Governor Das underscored that participating in such events allows students to enhance their technical expertise while also cultivating important skills like teamwork, strategic thinking, and entrepreneurship. He affirmed that platforms like the Tech Carnival are essential for developing the next generation of entrepreneurs and technology leaders.
