GoldenPi Debuts G-Secs To Elevate Investor Experience

Bengaluru, December 5th, 2023: GoldenPi has announced the launch of Government Securities (GSecs) on their platform, offering investors a seamless and convenient way to invest in sovereign bonds.

Government Securities, also known as GSecs, are debt instruments issued by the Government of India, providing investors with a safe and stable avenue for investment. Since government securities are exempt from rating agency stamp requirements, these securities are not rated. Treasury bills with one-year maturities are available at 6.1% interest. Gsecs with maturities of 4-5 years are yielding about 7.18%, while those with maturities of 9–10 years are yielding 7.47%. The yields on 5-year SDLs are 7.69%, while those on 10-year SDLs are 7.83%. GoldenPi‘s platform will enable users to easily browse, select, and invest in GSecs, streamlining the entire investment process.

CEO of GoldenPi, Abhijit Roy said, “We are not just introducing an investment option, we are providing a gateway to financial security. We are launching investment into Government Securities with a starting amount of Rs 100. This will be the first time that Gsecs will be available for investment via the RFQ model at a ticket size as low as Rs 100. Gsecs are literally safer than Bank FDs, have returns more than Bank FDs, and carry no TDS. With all these advantages, they can be a very valuable addition to the investment portfolio of investors, especially conservative ones.”

GoldenPi has positioned itself as a pioneer in the fintech industry, providing various investment opportunities for individuals and institutions. With the introduction of GSecs on its platform, the company aims to diversify its product offerings further and cater to the growing demand for secure and government-backed investment options.

GoldenPi currently has more than half a million users on its platform, investing in Corporate Bonds, NCD IPOs, and other fixed-income assets.

GoldenPi offers more than 100+ bonds and debentures on its online platform in the form of daily listings. Backed by Zerodha, which pioneered the discount broking model in India, GoldenPi has a clientele of individual investors across demographics, middle-aged professionals looking to balance their portfolios, senior professionals seeking safe investment avenues after retirement, and retired investors looking to park surplus funds in short to mid-term saving schemes.
