Mumbai, 05th December 2023: SOCIAL, India’s favourite neighbourhood café committed to enabling communities and connections, announces the return of SatrangiMela, a one-of-its-kind pop culture festival curated for and by the LGBTQIA+ community. This flagship queer event promises to be a celebration of different cultures and lifestyles.
With an aim to support the LGBTQIA+ community and spread the message of #LoveIsLove, SOCIAL is geared to take this unique initiative nationwide. The all-day queer fest featuresa host of activities including networking mixers, creator meet ups, art stations, open mic, and discussions, all focused on the LGBTQIA+ community. Attendees have the chance to explore vibrant flea markets with pop-ups from their favourite brands and witness incredible talent of the community through various live performances. Additionally, the event offers a delightful experience with great food, drinks, and music, fostering a sense of belongingness among a diverse and talented group.

The festival is unfolding at eight outlets, starting with Delhi on December 3, 2023,at HauzKhas SOCIAL, followed by Dehradun on December 7, 2023, at Dehradun SOCIAL, Chandigarh on December 10, 2023 at Sector 7 SOCIAL, Bangalore on December 17, 2023, at Indiranagar SOCIAL, Pune on January 7, 2024, at The Mills SOCIAL, Indore on January 14, 2024, at Ring Road SOCIAL, Mumbai on January 21, 2024, at antiSOCIAL, and concluding at the newest outlet in Kolkata on January 28, 2024, at Park Street SOCIAL.
The previous editions of SatrangiMelahave witnessed heartfelt expressionof queer love and companionship through enthralling music and theatre performances put together by renowned communities such asGaysi Family and Tamaasha Theatre. The festivalfeatured trailblazer events such as the IT Ball, India’s first ever Ball hosted by The House of Luna, that brought the high-energy theatrics of the Ballroom Culture to life along with open mics, flea markets and activities that engaged the entire community and its allies.
