Pune, April 22, 2025: SportsSkill, an innovative sports technology company, has successfully concluded a 3-month-long Sports Education and Talent Identification Program at SSPM Day School & Junior College, Pune. As part of its grassroots sports development initiative, the program engaged over 350 students, each showcasing remarkable dedication and growth.
The initiative focused on fostering physical literacy, introducing students to multiple physical activities, and tracking their development through data-driven assessments. Students were evaluated on key parameters such as performance, discipline, consistency, and progression across core fitness metrics.
The culmination of this intensive program was marked by a special award ceremony on April 13, where select students were recognised not just for participation, but for tangible improvements, and will be given a chance to progress to the next level. Such recognition and data-led feedback are essential at all levels. Identifying and guiding children from an early age lays the groundwork for a healthy, disciplined, and long-lasting sporting journey.
SportsSkill aims to build long-term partnerships with schools and uncover the next generation of champions by identifying promising talent early and equipping them with structured training and feedback.
Speaking about this, Abhinav Sinha, Co-founder of SportsSkill, said, “This is not just a prize distribution. It signals what is possible when you combine structured training with school-led support. We are using these early programs to learn, adapt, and build a more inclusive platform that delivers performance outcomes, whether through our new centre, the app, or our expanding school collaborations.”
Additionally, Chetan Desai, Co-founder of SportsSkill, said, “SportsSkill is dedicated to making a positive impact at the grassroots level. Our primary vision is to collaborate with schools and train children from a young age, providing them with the right techniques to excel in their chosen sport. We are committed to this goal and aim to expand our efforts significantly in the coming years.”
The awards come at a pivotal moment for SportsSkill, as the company prepares for its next growth phase. With continued backing from KP Balaraj in Q1 2025, SportsSkill is setting the stage for an exciting future. One of the key milestones is the upcoming launch of a gamified sports and fitness centre in Pune, designed to offer real-world, interactive training for young
athletes. This state-of-the-art facility is set to go live later this year and marks just the beginning of SportsSkill’s ambitious plans.
In addition, we are transitioning to a B2B2C model by July 2025. This shift will enable individual users to log into the platform directly, unlocking access to a comprehensive suite of high-performance training tools. This development opens up a range of new possibilities, further solidifying our commitment to revolutionising athletic training.
