India, June 27 2025: Condé Nast Traveller India announces the sixth edition of its prestigious Top Restaurant Awards in partnership with District by Zomato. Celebrating excellence in food, service and ambience, the Top Restaurant Awards (TRA) are widely regarded as India’s most credible and respected restaurant accolades, built on a rigorous, merit-based, and fully independent process. This year marks the beginning of a long-term partnership with District, aimed at scaling the visibility, reach and impact of the awards across the country.
The Awards are determined by 100 jury members across 10 regions, featuring India’s most influential food writers, chefs, creators, and tastemakers. While District will play a significant role in building and growing the Awards in the years to come, it is critical to note that it has no involvement whatsoever in the awards process. From nominations to tastings to final decisions, the process is fully independent. No one from District, Zomato, or any of its affiliates are a part of the jury or super jury, and have no say in the outcome. Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India Limited Liability Partnership have been appointed as the Process Advisors for the awards. There are no fees for nominations or participation, and no affiliation with any food delivery or dining platform is required—or has any bearing on results.
“With the sixth edition of the Top Restaurant Awards, Condé Nast Traveller continues its mission to highlight culinary excellence across India, recognising our chefs, restaurants, service staff, and pioneers in the hospitality industry. For far too long, our brilliant restaurateurs have sought to look outward for recognition. With CNT’s TRA, we have a credible, trusted and respected homegrown awards programme that truly reflects the country’s tastes, preferences, values and culture–as well as the exhilarating, diverse and dynamic culinary environment across India,” says Divia Thani, Global Editorial Director, Condé Nast Traveller
“For the industry, the awards are a recognition of the enormous effort they are putting into creating some truly outstanding meals and dining experiences. For the diners, it is the ultimate check-list, ranking the top restaurants, as scored by not one, not a dozen, but by one-hundred well-informed and extremely opinionated diners from across India. Together, what we create each year is a moment that celebrates the very best of Indian dining, including its people–and this year, it will be bigger and better,” says Salil Deshpande, Head of Editorial Content, Condé Nast Traveller India
“The Condé Nast Traveller Top Restaurant Awards have long stood as the most credible badge of honour in India’s food and restaurant industry—built on rigour, integrity, and genuine celebration of excellence. We’re thrilled to partner with District by Zomato this year to bring this legacy to life in an even more immersive and elevated way. Together, we’re creating a landmark moment for the culinary world.” – Sonia Kapoor, Chief Business Officer, Condé Nast India
