Federal Bank Hormis Memorial Foundation Partners with Caritas Hospital as part of Sanjeevani initiative

26 August 2025: -Federal Bank, as part of its CSR initiatives, under the ‘Sanjeevani- United against Cancer’ initiative signed an MoU with Caritas Hospital and Institute of Health Sciences, Kottayam to strengthen the Beneficiary Support.
As part of this initiative, Federal Bank Hormis Memorial Foundation will contribute ₹1 crore to the Beneficiary Support Fund of Caritas Hospital. The exchange of MoU took place at the hospital premises, Kottayam between Nisha K Das, Vice President & Zonal Head-Kottayam and Rev. Fr. Dr. Binu Kunnath- Director & CEO, Caritas Hospital in the presence of  Federal Bank executives Jayachandran K T, Vice President & Regional Head-Kottayam ; Nebin V Jose – AVP (HR), Kottayam Zonal Office; Anulakshmi R ,Senior Manager and Branch Head, Branch Thellakom ; Jithin James – Manager, Branch Thellakom
Rev Fr. Jinu Kavil- Joint Director, Administration; Dr. Boban Thomas – Senior Medical Oncology Consultant & Caritas Cancer Institute Co Ordinator ; Sr. Dolly Joseph – HOD,  Finance; Jyothish Kumar E V – AGM , Finance and Santhosh Thomas Samuel – Asst. Manager , Operations represented Caritas Hospital in the event .
The fund extends critical financial assistance to cancer patients from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) who seek treatment at the hospital. Last fiscal year, 787 cancer patients were supported at Caritas Hospital through the Sanjeevani initiative.

By ensuring timely diagnosis and continuous treatment, this initiative aims to improve survival rates, reduce dropouts, and improve overall quality of life for patients. The program also strives to create systemic benefits, such as reducing long-term costs through early interventions and better outcomes.
