New Delhi, Dec 26: On the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, President Droupadi Murmu conferred the prestigious Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar in a ceremony held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. This year, 20 remarkable children from 18 States and Union Territories were recognized for their outstanding achievements in fields ranging from bravery and innovation to art, culture, environment, science, and technology.
Speaking at the event, President Murmu highlighted that these awards not only acknowledge the exceptional accomplishments of the recipients but also serve as an inspiration for children across the nation. “When the children of a country are imbued with patriotism and high ideals, the humanity of that nation is assured,” the President remarked.
Veer Bal Diwas is observed annually to honor the martyrdom of Sahibzada Baba Zorawar Singh ji and Baba Fateh Singh ji, the young sons of Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji, whose courage and sacrifice continue to inspire generations. President Murmu emphasized that the spirit of bravery and dedication shown by these children should motivate the nation’s youth to strive for excellence.
