Noida International University Brings Entrepreneurial Lens to Wildlife Conservation Through Dialogue Series

Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh Feb 16: The School of Sciences at Noida International University (NIU) organized its first guest lecture under the Dialogue Series titled “Saving the Wild: Entrepreneurial Solutions to Wildlife Challenges” on 06 February 2026 at the Seminar Hall, Administrative Block. The initiative aimed to raise awareness among students and faculty about wildlife conservation through innovative and entrepreneurial approaches.

The programme was graced by Prof. Dr. Uma Bhardwaj, Vice Chancellor, NIU, along with Dr. Mukesh Parashar, Registrar; Prof. Dr. T.A. Wani, Dean (Q&A); Mr. Ishan Kapoor, Founder, Hoping Mind; and Prof. Dr. Deepshikha Pande Katare, Dean, School of Sciences, along with faculty members and students.

The highlight of the event was an expert lecture by Mr. Sameer Bakshi, Founder of Beyond Tigers, New Delhi. Drawing from his extensive field experience, he emphasized how entrepreneurial models, community engagement, and sustainable practices can play a crucial role in addressing challenges such as habitat loss, biodiversity decline, and human–wildlife conflict. The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment moderated by Dr. Varun K. Sharma, which witnessed active participation from students.

Earlier, the programme commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by an inaugural address by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, who underscored the responsibility of academic institutions in fostering environmental stewardship, wildlife conservation, and socially impactful innovation.

The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Rakesh Srivastava, marking the formal launch of the Dialogue Series, an initiative aimed at promoting meaningful academic discourse on contemporary environmental and societal issues.
