Finnair announces new connections for next winter – Luxembourg, Valencia and Turin routes to operate year-round

New Delhi, Feb 24: Last year, Finnair announced that it will start flights to Luxembourg, Valencia in Spain and Turin in Italy for summer 2026. These routes will now be extended and will operate year-round.

“We are constantly developing our network and increasing capacity where it best serves our customers. Year-round connections ensure that our customers can enjoy smooth and reliable travel options throughout the seasons”, says Antti Tolvanen, Finnair’s Senior Vice President, Network and Revenue Optimisation.

There are a lot of business and transfer customers from Luxembourg to Helsinki and onwards to Finnair’s extensive network. Connections to Luxembourg will increase from three weekly services in the summer to four weekly services in the winter season.

Valencia offers a sunny city break in the middle of winter, while Turin, located near the Western Alps, is especially suitable for winter sports enthusiasts. Finnair will fly to Turin once a week throughout the winter season, and twice a week during the peak winter sport season from January to March. In summer, Finnair flies to Turin three times a week. Valencia’s four weekly flights will also continue over the winter.

Of the previously announced routes, Stavanger and Umeå will also continue throughout the year. There will be nine weekly flights to Stavanger next winter, of which six outbound flights from Helsinki will operate via Stockholm Arlanda, and three will operate directly to Stavanger. All return flights from Stavanger to Helsinki stop in Stockholm, supporting also travel between Stavanger and Stockholm. There are 10 weekly services to Umeå in winter, operated via Vaasa.

Last year, Finnair announced 12 new European destinations for the coming summer. The company will also start direct flights to Toronto in May and open a new route to Melbourne, Australia, in October.
