Filmfare is all set to host the Filmfare Awards Assamese 2026, today in Guwahati. Before the awards, the Filmfare team paid a visit to home of Zubeen Garg to honour his remarkable legacy in music and invaluable contribution to the Assamese Film Industry. The Filmfare team presented three prestigious honours to his family, graciously received by his wife, Garima Saikia Garg on his behalf. He was posthumously awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his unparalleled contribution to music and cinema. In addition, he received the Special Recognition Award for Roi Roi Binale, celebrating the timeless impact of the song that continues to resonate deeply with audiences. He was also honoured with the Best Playback Singer (Male) – 2025 for “Agoli Anubhabe” from the film Rudra, a testament to his enduring brilliance and mastery as a playback singer.
