New Delhi, May 12: The Sports Authority of India (SAI) and MY Bharat have jointly launched a nationwide youth engagement programme aimed at strengthening grassroots participation in sports ahead of the Commonwealth Games 2030.
The initiative seeks to identify and nurture young talent across the country while promoting a stronger culture of fitness, discipline, and sporting excellence at the community level.
Officials said the programme will focus on expanding access to sports activities in districts and states, creating structured pathways for talent discovery, and encouraging greater youth participation in training and development initiatives.
The campaign will also connect young participants with mentorship opportunities and capacity-building activities designed to promote leadership, teamwork, and overall physical well-being.
According to SAI, the initiative forms part of a long-term strategy to build a stronger sporting ecosystem in India and enhance preparation for major international events, including CWG 2030.
The collaboration is expected to contribute to India’s broader vision of a more active, youth-driven, and sports-oriented nation with improved global competitiveness.
