New Delhi, May 14: External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar held a series of bilateral meetings with several foreign ministers on the sidelines of the BRICS foreign ministers’ meeting.
The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations, expanding economic cooperation, and reviewing key regional and global developments of mutual interest.
India used the engagements to reaffirm its commitment to deeper engagement within the BRICS platform and to advance cooperation in areas such as trade, energy, connectivity, and global governance reforms.
The meetings also provided an opportunity for participating countries to exchange views on ongoing geopolitical challenges and explore ways to enhance coordination on shared priorities.
Officials said the interactions reflect India’s continued emphasis on active diplomacy and sustained engagement with partner countries across multilateral forums.
