Uttarakhand, May 26: Rescue and relief operations have been intensified along the Char Dham Yatra route, with special focus on Kedarnath, as emergency response teams step up efforts to manage the growing number of pilgrims and ensure safety and medical assistance.
Teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are actively deployed across key stretches of the pilgrimage route, assisting devotees, regulating movement in crowded areas, and responding to medical emergencies.
Officials said additional personnel have been stationed at critical points to manage crowd flow, provide first aid support, and assist pilgrims facing altitude-related health issues or fatigue due to heavy footfall.
Medical teams have also been reinforced along the route, with arrangements for emergency treatment, oxygen support, and evacuation facilities for pilgrims in need of urgent care.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation in coordination with local administration to ensure smooth movement of pilgrims and to prevent congestion in sensitive zones around Kedarnath.
The ongoing efforts are aimed at ensuring a safe, well-managed, and comfortable pilgrimage experience for devotees undertaking the Char Dham Yatra, even during peak rush conditions.
