Guwahati, Aug 27: Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati is all set to celebrate its 33rd Foundation Day on 1st September 2026.
The occasion will be celebrated in a day-long program, marking an important milestone in the Institute’s journey.
As part of the celebrations, an Open House will be held on 1st September2026. It will provide students from schools and colleges in the local community an opportunity to visit the Institute and gain first hand exposure to its academic, research and infrastructural facilities.
Visitors will be facilitated to explore laboratories, state of the art facilities, the Institute Library, sports infrastructure and other important facilities.
The programme will also feature the unveiling of a documentary showcasing the journey of IIT Guwahati. Former Directors, distinguished guests and alumni of the Institute are expected to join the celebrations.
The celebrations will commemorate IIT Guwahati’s journey and achievements while bringing together members of its extended community on this significant occasion.
