Mumbai, Feb 17: Allcargo Logistics Limited, following the approval of its corporate restructuring plan, which houses its domestic supply chain business—express distribution and consultative logistics—has announced a strategic expansion of its logistics network to support the rapidly growing e-commerce and quick-commerce segments.
The company is enhancing its network with integrated capabilities across sorting, fulfilment, consolidation, cross-docking, value-added services, and secondary transportation. Currently, Allcargo Logistics handles over 10 million packages every month across its e-commerce and quick-commerce operations, with volumes rising 25–30% during the festive season, creating significant employment opportunities for the blue-collar workforce.
A multi-city network approach now extends service coverage across 6–9 metro cities, along with Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets. Technology-led solutions, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), are improving inventory visibility, enabling better coordination across facilities, and supporting robust operational execution. Initiatives in network planning and route optimisation further enhance vehicle utilisation and infrastructure efficiency—critical for meeting the speed and reliability demands of e-commerce and quick-commerce players.
Ketan Kulkarni, Managing Director & CEO of Allcargo Logistics, said:
“As consumption patterns evolve and e-commerce expands beyond metros, logistics must function as a structured and reliable backbone. Our focus remains on building integrated networks, technology-led logistics, and disciplined mid-mile execution that enable consistent service delivery across sectors and geographies, while maintaining strong standards of safety and compliance.”
Allcargo’s diversified capabilities are exemplified through its long-standing partnership with a multinational European conglomerate specializing in ready-to-assemble furniture and household goods, handling approximately 95% of the brand’s logistics operations across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, and Gujarat.
In the quick-commerce segment, Allcargo provides tailored services to an Indian retailer operating a chain of supermarkets and hypermarkets, including customised network design, route optimisation, and capacity planning.
With the continued evolution of consumption patterns, Allcargo Logistics has expanded and recategorized its Transshipment Centres from 21 to 71 and launched the Allcargo Extended Reach (AER) network, enabling coverage across 100% of India’s PIN codes. The company has increased its mapped PIN codes from 21,000 to over 32,000 and doubled its direct serviceable PIN codes from 4,900 to more than 10,000, directly served through Allcargo Distribution Centres. These efforts enhance connectivity, speed, reliability, and operational efficiency, delivering a superior customer experience across India.
