New Delhi, 3rd March 2025: Alpex Solar Limited, a leading name in the renewable energy sector, announced that it has been awarded a significant order worth Rs 210.71 crore from Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI) for the supply of advanced solar photovoltaic (PV) modules. The partnership between Alpex Solar and SECI aims to drive the expansion of clean energy infrastructure, reinforcing the global shift towards sustainable energy solutions.
Under the agreement, Alpex Solar will deliver advanced solar PV modules that will be deployed in SECI’s renewable energy projects across the country. The project is expected to be completed within nine months from the purchase order date, showcasing Alpex Solar’s ability to deliver high-quality solar modules within stringent timelines. The newly secured order will be fulfilled through Alpex Solar’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Greater Noida, which has recently expanded to 1.2 GW capacity.

Recent order win from MSEDCL
In February 2025, the company secured a significant order valued at Rs 45 crore from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd (MSEDCL). The order was part of the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump scheme, under which Alpex Solar will supply MSEDCL with 2,000 solar water pumps, helping to accelerate the use of clean energy in agriculture across Maharashtra.
Other key developments
· Solar cell production plans: The Company is set to establish a cutting-edge 1.6 GW solar cell manufacturing facility in three distinct phases. The first phase, with a capacity of 500 MW, is slated to become operational by December 2025 at Unit II, spanning 25,873.27 sq/mtr at Kosi Kotwan Ext-II, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.
· “Mr. Dependable” as Brand Ambassador: Alpex signed Rahul Dravid, a Global Cricketing Legend and former Indian Captain, as its Brand Ambassador in Q3FY25 and set sights on more extensive brand visibility for its ambitious expansion plans
· Leasing of New Facilities: The company has leased two new factory units totaling 42,000 sq mtr at Kosi Kotwan and Sikandrabad in Uttar Pradesh. While the Kosi Kotwan unit will be used for manufacturing aluminium frames (expected to commence by December 2025), the Sikandrabad unit will be dedicated to commissioning an additional line of 1.2 GW of solar modules and is likely to go into commercial production around December 2025.
