Aluva, December 14, 2024: Emergency Medicine at Aster Medcity conducted the 500th session of its BeFirst Initiative, at Union Christian College (UC College), Aluva. The session focused on training individuals in Basic Life Support (BLS). Aster Medcity’s BeFirst initiative aims to significantly reduce pre-hospital deaths by training individuals to handle medical emergencies with confidence and precision.
Initially, 250 students received training and another 250 will get life-saving training in the coming session.
From the training sessions, a select group will be identified and further trained to join the Rapid Response Team (RRT), equipped to handle emergencies effectively.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. Nalanda Jayadev, CEO, of Aster Medcity.
