Chief Minister Attended ‘Sikkim Inspires’ Review Meeting

New Delhi, Feb 14: The Chief Minister, Shri Prem Singh Tamang attended the review meeting of Sikkim Inspires held today at Samman Bhawan. The meeting brought together officials and stakeholders to assess the progress and impact of the initiative over the past two years.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister reiterated that the core objective of Sikkim Inspires is to empower women and youth through diverse training programmes and capacity-building initiatives. He expressed satisfaction over the commendable progress achieved so far in advancing the programme’s goals.

However, he emphasised that the true measure of success lies not merely in conducting innovative training programmes, but in ensuring the effective utilisation of trained manpower. Stressing the importance of self-reliance, he noted that beneficiaries should be encouraged to pursue entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihoods rather than limiting their aspirations solely to white-collar employment.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the urgent need to transform the mindset of the younger generation and foster a strong, positive work culture, describing these as pressing challenges in today’s global context. He called for the judicious and responsible utilisation of available resources and funds to nurture a confident, resilient, and self-reliant generation.

He concluded by extending his appreciation to all those associated with the initiative and wished the team continued success until the successful completion of the project.
