New Delhi, Mar 14: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Friday joined Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, via video conference for the release of the 22nd instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi on the occasion of PM–KISAN Utsav Diwas.
The Chief Minister expressed delight at participating in the programme and highlighted that the initiative, under the leadership of the Prime Minister, continues to strengthen the farming community across the country. Through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism, the scheme provides direct financial assistance to millions of farmers, ensuring dignity, stability, and enhanced financial security for those who form the backbone of the nation’s economy.
Extending his greetings on the occasion, Tamang conveyed his heartfelt best wishes to farmers and reaffirmed the government’s continued commitment to the welfare, prosperity, and empowerment of the agricultural community.
