Danfoss India leads innovation at ACREX India 2026, launches new products and crowns Data Centre pioneer in Hall of Fame

Chennai, Mar 23:  Danfoss India, a global leader in engineering technologies for infrastructure, climate and energy sectors, made a strong showcase at ACREX India 2026 – one of South Asia’s largest exhibitions dedicated to HVACR innovation. They unveiled new products, premiered a next-generation drives solution, earned two industry awards, and hosted the prestigious ACREX Hall of Fame Awards with the Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE).

Hall of Fame 2026: Honouring India’s Greenest Data Centre

This year, the ACREX Hall of Fame – powered by Danfoss – turned its spotlight on a sector at the heart of India’s digital economy: data centres. As hyperscale and edge computing facilities proliferate across the country, the energy and cooling demands of the sector have never been higher. The ACREX Hall of Fame 2026 set out to recognise those leading the charge on sustainable, high-efficiency data centre design and operations.

Digital Connexion was honoured as the inductee into the ACREX Hall of Fame 2026, recognised for its significant contributions in implementing high-efficiency and sustainable data centre cooling solutions with minimal environmental impact. The recognition underscores the growing imperative for data centre operators in India to align infrastructure decisions with decarbonisation goals.

Mr. Ravichandran Purushothaman, President, Danfoss India Region, said, “India is witnessing rapid growth in digital infrastructure, urban development and industrial expansion, all of which are significantly increasing the demand for efficient cooling and energy infrastructure. As data centres and commercial buildings scale across the country, the HVACR sector has a critical role to play in delivering reliable, energy-efficient and sustainable cooling solutions. At Danfoss India, we are focused on enabling this transition through advanced technologies and collaborations with industry partners to help build resilient, future-ready infrastructure for India.”

New Products premiered and unveiled at ACREX 2026

Danfoss Power Drives premiered the cybersecure Ultra Low Harmonics Drive – iC7 HVACR – a next-generation drive technology engineered to reduce harmonic distortion and improve energy efficiency across large HVAC installations.

Speaking on the role of advanced drive technologies in enabling energy efficiency, Mr. Mandar Vaijanapurkar, Head of Drives Sales, Marketing & Services, Danfoss India, said, “Energy-efficient drive technologies play a critical role in optimizing motor-driven systems across industries. With the premiere of our Ultra Low Harmonics Drive solution, we are helping customers reduce power quality challenges while improving system efficiency and operational reliability in large infrastructure applications.”

Danfoss Climate Solutions introduced five new products at the event, each designed to raise the bar on system control, automation and operational efficiency in refrigeration and HVAC applications:

Alsmart® Controller – enabling intelligent, automated control of HVAC systems for improved precision and energy management.

PSG Compressor – delivering enhanced performance and reliability for refrigeration and cooling applications.

Motorized Butterfly Valve – providing precise flow regulation for HVAC system optimisation.

CoolTrain™ Customisable Valve Trains – modular valve train assemblies designed for flexible, efficient integration into data centre and industrial cooling systems.
