UPI is currently the easiest and the most secure way of digital payments owing to its multifactor authentication which requires the users to verify themselves via multiple sources. DishTV and D2H subscribers will be able to make payments in three simple steps using the new ‘Scan To Pay’ & ‘Scan QR and Pay’ function. First, enter Registered Mobile/Telephone Number or VC or Customer ID to generate QR code; second, scan with your favorite UPI app, that can include any UPI enabled payment/wallet apps and any bank apps that allow UPI QR code scan. Finally, authorize the payment using your 4 to 6 digit security code. Further, subscribers will get a payment confirmation upon successful authorization, which will show that the recharge has been completed. The website will fill in the user’s monthly recharge amount based on the Registered Mobile/telephone Number and deduct the payment accordingly from the user’s bank account/wallet. DishTV and D2H’s newest feature allows users to circumvent the time-consuming net banking process, which requires many steps and information to complete.
Commenting on the new feature, Mr. Anil Dua, Executive Director & Group CEO, Dish TV India Limited, said, “The UPI is a secure, convenient, and simple mode of digital payment. We observed an increasing voice of the customer for hassle-free quick payment modes and that is why we decided to implement a special QR Scan payment mechanism for our DishTV and D2H subscribers. This enables them for paying their monthly recharge amount using any UPI enabled Apps. This is yet another payment mechanism we have now, giving our customers a wide range of secure and easy payment options.”
Subscribers will also be able to make payments using just the screenshot of the generated QR code, making it even more convenient for them to make the payments. In three easy steps, customers can recharge their Dish TV / D2H account using the ‘Scan To Pay’ or ‘Scan QR and Pay’ feature:
1. Generate the QR Code using the Registered Mobile/Telephone Number or VC or Customer ID
2. Scan the generated code with any UPI enabled Payment App
3. Authorize the transaction
