Eleganz Interiors Backs Inclusive Education with School Adoption and Student Welfare Initiatives

Mumbai, Mar 25: Eleganz Interiors Limited, one of India’s longest-standing interior fit-out and general contracting companies, is strengthening its long-running commitment to community welfare through initiatives supported by the Scavengers Welfare Foundation, a non-profit effort led by the company’s founders.

Eleganz Interiors Backs Inclusive Education with School Adoption and Student Welfare Initiatives

With a legacy spanning over 37+ years, Eleganz Interiors has delivered more than 30 million square feet of interior fit-outs across India and international markets, working with leading global organisations including Siemens, Bosch, PwC, ICICI Bank, Accenture, Amazon, Barclays, and Mahindra. Alongside its business growth, the organisation has quietly supported several community initiatives aimed at addressing food security, education access, and social welfare.

Through the Scavengers Welfare Foundation, the company has helped facilitate the distribution of more than 15,000 meals near three hospitals, supporting patients, families, hospital staff, and vulnerable individuals in surrounding communities.

The initiative has also extended support to school adoption programmes, providing students with essential educational resources including books, uniforms, school meals, and institutional support for teachers and staff.

Additionally, the foundation has organised ration distribution drives across 10 villages, supplying essential food grains and staples to underserved families and positively impacting over 15,000 individuals.

Speaking about the initiative, Sammeer Pakvasa, Managing Director & CEO, Eleganz Interiors Limited, said:

“For us, business success and social responsibility have always gone hand in hand. The communities around us are an integral part of our ecosystem, and contributing to their wellbeing is something we consider a responsibility rather than an obligation. Through the Scavengers Welfare Foundation, we have tried to support initiatives that address basic needs such as food security, education, and community support.”

Beyond community initiatives, Eleganz Interiors has also increasingly aligned its project delivery practices with global sustainability considerations, particularly as the construction and built environment sectors face growing pressure to reduce environmental impact.

According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), the buildings and construction sector accounts for nearly 37% of global energy-related carbon emissions. Similarly, the World Green Building Council estimates that buildings contribute approximately 39% of global carbon emissions, highlighting the growing importance of sustainable design and construction practices.

In India, the transition toward green building practices is accelerating. As per the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), India has over 11 billion square feet of registered green building footprint, placing the country among the global leaders in sustainable building adoption.

Eleganz Interiors is a founding member of the Indian Green Building Council and regularly delivers projects aligned with LEED and WELL-oriented principles, integrating considerations such as energy efficiency, material lifecycle management, indoor environmental quality, and construction waste reduction into its execution processes.

Today, Eleganz Interiors Limited operates across 35+ cities with offices in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, NCR, Pune, and Singapore, supported by a team of over 400 professionals. The company continues to expand its integrated Design & Build Fit-Out and General Contracting model, combining strategy, design, engineering, procurement, and execution under a single delivery framework.

As the organisation enters its next phase of growth, its leadership believes that long-term success in the built environment sector must be accompanied by responsible business practices and meaningful community engagement.
