While the world sits back considering themselves helpless, it is the students of Enactus
that rise and emerge to enact upon the problem.
In light of the present adverse scenario, the team of undergraduate students
from Enactus Kalindi have come up with an initiative ‘From Rags to Riches’ to
help curb the spread of CoVid19.
According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare: “People who are not
suffering from medical conditions may use the handmade reusable face cover for
general protection. This will help in protecting the community at large.”
This clearly authenticates the usage of handmade cloth face masks.
The zealous team members of Enactus Kalindi made face masks out of cloth and
distributed them amongst the underprivileged community, at the same time abiding by
all the instructions of social distancing.
These handmade cloth masks can be worn in public settings where other social
distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies). The
homemade masks can help prevent the spread of the disease by those with
the virus.
As stated by the U.S., President Donald Trump, “the voluntary use of non-medical
masks by all citizens as an additional public health measure to fight the coronavirus,
while keeping medical-grade masks available for health workers”which another
benefitting aspect of homemade cloth face masks.
Enactus Kalindi aims to stand strong in this fight against the pandemic with their
undaunting efforts and requests you all as well to abide by the safety guidelines laid
down by the government for your safety and good health.
Stay safe. Stay Healthy and Stay Home.
