Hyderabad,01st March 2025: The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) organized an Interactive Session on Doing Business in Dubai at its premises in Red Hills on Friday evening
Mr. Bassel Bitar, Regional Representative for Asia & Eastern Europe, DMCC; and Mr. Siddharth Shah, India Head, DMCC IRO of DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre) – one of the world’s leading free zones and a global hub for business and innovation addressed the session.
Bassel Bitar further said Dubai is one of the world’s top business hubs. DMCC facilitates trade flows and attracts investment while delivering the finest infrastructure and support services to our members to help their businesses grow. Dubai is more known as a shopping destination, but it is also a business hub, he said and added that it was established in 2002, DMCC has 24000 members representing 187 countries and 80,000 people working in it. DMCC is a country within the country, he said. Brand Dubai has been gaining a lot of traction, he told the gathering.
Siddharth Shah, Head of DMCC India Promotional Office said that the local office was set up to help Indian entrepreneurs set up their base in Dubai without much hiccups.
The session provided valuable insights into how DMCC supports businesses in setting up operations seamlessly; the Regulatory frameworks and incentives available for MSMEs and
large enterprises; The immense potential for Indian companies to leverage Dubai as a hub for global market access.

Sri Subbaraju Gowra, Co-Chair, International Trade and IT&BR Committee in his opening remarks said the collaboration with DMCC is a strategic initiative that opens up significant opportunities for IT Services, SaaS, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, DevOps, Big Data, and Enterprise Software Development – sectors where India, especially Telangana, has demonstrated remarkable capabilities and innovation. Dubai’s position as a gateway to the Middle East, Africa, and Europe presents a unique advantage for Indian companies looking to scale globally. With its business-friendly policies, investor protection laws, and tax benefits, Dubai has consistently ranked among the top global destinations for setting up businesses.
