PITTSFIELD, Mass., July 24, 2025 –– Gateway Fiber marked a significant milestone in digital connectivity with a ribbon cutting on Tuesday morning outside Pittsfield City Hall, officially launching the company’s ultra-high-speed fiber internet service for residents and businesses across Pittsfield.
The event brought together city officials, community leaders, business owners, and residents to celebrate the arrival of Gateway Fiber’s 100% fiber-optic internet, an advancement poised to transform how Pittsfield connects, works, learns, and grows. Pittsfield Mayor Peter M. Marchetti joined Gateway Fiber representatives in welcoming enhanced digital equity efforts and new consumer choice to the city.
The day’s festivities included networking opportunities, presentations from city leadership, and informational sessions with Gateway Fiber representatives, who answered questions about the service and its benefits for Pittsfield’s homes and businesses.
