Marking this milestone, GDi celebrated its fifth Foundation Day GDi@5, reaffirming its mission to build India’s own model of indigenous, evidence-based public systems consulting. Over the past five years, the firm has emerged as one of India’s leading governance and development consulting organisations, partnering with over 10 state governments, multiple central ministries, NITI Aayog, and global philanthropic organisations to drive impact in education, healthcare, agriculture, environment, and social protection.
At a time when the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) is encouraging the rise of home-grown consulting firms to strengthen India’s governance and development ecosystem, GDi Partners, one of India’s leading mission-driven governance and development impact consulting firms, celebrated its fifth Foundation Day – GDi@5, reaffirming its commitment to building India’s own model of data-driven, outcome-oriented public systems consulting.
Over the last 5 years, GDi has partnered with over 10+ state governments, 5 central government ministries, NITI Aayog and international philanthropic organisations. GDi has worked on topics such as improving learning outcomes in public school systems, reducing pollution emissions in 3 states of the Indo-Gangetic plains, improving income and resilience of smallholder farmers, creating employment and entrepreneurship for youth, and empowering women for economic opportunities across the nation, among others.
Marking the occasion, GDi also announced the launch of its new website (www.gdipartners.in), reflecting the firm’s expanded scope of work, digital-first approach, and vision to partner with governments and social sector organisations across India and beyond.
The team celebrated by paying a visit to the Partition Museum, Delhi, symbolising India’s journey of resilience and rebuilding a fitting metaphor for GDi’s own work in strengthening systems and creating inclusive futures. This was followed by a volunteering engagement with SHEOWS (Saint Hardyal Educational and Orphans Welfare Society), where GDi team members spent time with elderly residents through creative and musical sessions, giving an exposure of hands-on contribution to giving back to society and its strong culture of empathy and community engagement.
The evening session at GDi’s Delhi office featured reflections on the organisation’s five-year journey, alumni interactions, and an address by Ankur Bansal, CEO and Founder, GDi Partners, who shared his vision for the firm’s next phase of growth.
“GDi aims to be at the forefront of shaping a new consulting narrative, one rooted in local context, technology, and empathy,” said Ankur Bansal. “Our journey over the past five years has been about translating intent into impact partnering with governments to make governance more inclusive, efficient, and accountable.”
Since its inception, GDi Partners has worked with multiple central and state governments, designing and implementing transformative programs in education, healthcare, agriculture, environment, and social protection. The firm continues to blend policy expertise, data insights, and technology solutions to deliver measurable outcomes at scale.
“GDi@5 is not just a milestone, it’s a reflection of what young, mission-driven professionals can achieve when guided by purpose and the spirit of service,” added Ankit Jain, Co-Founder.
The Foundation Day concluded with a session of reflections, performances, and the unveiling of GDi’s new website symbolising its next chapter of growth, collaboration, and innovation.
