Gurugram Police Cops to Patrol on Electric Vehicles

Gurugram: Rissala Electric Motors Pvt. ltd, that recently launched its e-scooter brand Evolet, gifted a fleet of e-scooters to women police officers of Gurugram to aid patrolling. The e-scooters, 5 no.s, worth Rs 65,000. each were handed over to the police team during the store launch at IDC Mehrauli Gurgoan Raod, Opp Sector 14, Gurugram. Chief guest on the occasion was Mr Daler Mehdi Indian singer, songwriter, author and record producer. Daler Mehandi has purchased 10 bikes at the occasion. SHO Gurugram Ms. Kiran Bala was present during the occasion.

Evolet recently came out with 3 e-scooters and one quad bike and plans to target Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan, Punjab, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana markets in the initial phase. Speaking on this occasion, Sqn Ldr Prerana Chaturvedi, Veteran, spokesperson, Rissala Electric Motors Pvt Ltd, said, “e-bikes promotes clean environment and by gifting it to the women police force, the message reaches far and wide. It also signals confidence in the vehicle and also demonstrates their use under circumstances that are harsher than average. It’s much easier to traverse certain areas of city with it thus ensuring more personable interactions with the public. E-scooters are also the need of all the families and office goers who wants to save on cost with convenience of commuting.”

Ms. Chaturvedi further added, “Evolet will be available pan India in the next one month. The price of e-scooters starts at Rs 39,499, and the top end is priced at Rs 64,999. For added convenience, there are multiple ways to charge the scooter. All the models use a lithium ion battery. Rissala also offers Lead Acid battery for those who opt for a more economical option.  Customers can fully charge the battery within 4 hours with average charge cycle 2500-3000. The top version of these e-scooters is IOT-enabled and is powered by Evolet app, which gives the rider a host of information such as battery health, battery status, GPS, and security tracking.
