H.R. College of Commerce & Economics Hosts Hult Prize On-Campus Round 2026

H.R. College of Commerce and Economics, through its MCom Committee, successfully hosted the Hult Prize On-Campus Round 2026, a globally recognized student startup competition that encourages young entrepreneurs to build scalable solutions for pressing social challenges.

  The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from student teams, each presenting impactful startup ideas aligned with the global Hult Prize challenge. The pitches highlighted strong problem-solving capabilities, innovation-driven approaches, and a commitment to sustainable social impact.

The event was evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges comprising Mr. Anil Ghelani, Head of Passive Investments & Products at DSP Mutual Fund; Mr. Ankit Mishra, Senior Manager at Teleperformance; and Ms. Sarita Gupta, Product Manager at Kotak Mutual Fund.

 Following an engaging round of presentations and evaluations, the judging panel selected one winning team along with runner-up teams. These top teams have qualified to represent H.R. College at the National-level Hult Prize Round to be held at IIT Bombay.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Pooja Ramchandani, Principal, stated,

 “H.R. College actively supports initiatives like the Hult Prize as they encourage students to develop innovative and socially impactful solutions while applying classroom learning to real-world challenges. We are proud of our students and wish the qualifying teams success at the national level.”

The event played a key role in broadening students’ perspectives on entrepreneurship by emphasizing purpose-driven innovation and long-term impact. It encouraged participants to look beyond profitability and consider sustainability and social responsibility as core elements of business thinking, Ms. Dharti Narwani, Teacher In-Charge, Hult Prize HRC, noted, “The Hult Prize On-Campus Round was a one-of-a-kind experience that gave students meaningful exposure to entrepreneurship and encouraged a shift in mindset towards sustainable growth through the UN Sustainable Development Goals.”
