Delhi, October 1, 2025 – The Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA), the apex association representing the Indian electrical, industrial electronics and allied equipment industry, announced the appointment of Vikram Gandotra, Director (Industry & Policy) Siemens Ltd., as its President for the year 2025-26. Mr Gandotra succeeds Sunil Singhvi, Group Head Public Policy, Secure Meters, who served as President during the 2024–2025 tenure.
Sidharth Bhutoria, Vice President, Wholetime Director, RTS Power Corporation Ltd., has taken over as the President-Elect. Shashi Amin, CEO – Cable Solutions, Apar Industries Ltd., has been elected as the Vice-President.
Vikram Gandotra, the incoming President, shared his vision, “I’m honoured to be leading IEEMA at this time of great change and opportunity for our industry. My focus will be on working together to boost our global competitiveness, promote innovation, and achieve sustainable growth. We will continue to strengthen our focus on policy advocacy and effective government engagements. IEEMA has significantly expanded international outreach over the years, and we will further intensify efforts to explore new markets and work on establishing a trade facilitation centre to help our industry expand into new regions. We will continue to drive initiatives on quality, safety, reliability and startups, while also making new strides towards skilling programs. I am optimistic that with the collective effort of my colleagues in the presidium and the industry at large, we will create opportunities for our industry to scale greater heights”
Sidharth Bhutoria, the new President-Elect, emphasised the association’s commitment to strengthening the regional connect and membership “I am greatly humbled to assume the role of President-elect of IEEMA. It is a privilege to be working alongside such experienced industry leaders who have placed their trust in me for this position. Over the years, IEEMA has made significant strides in all its various initiatives, and as a team, the new Presidium intends to take this forward. My focus will be to nurture and promote both the technical capabilities and the regional connects within IEEMA, which are the essence of what IEEMA is as an organisation. I will also work towards strengthening our inbound and outbound delegation to increase business opportunities. Our membership is our greatest asset, and we ensure that all members, whether large, medium, small or micro, will be engaged in a more meaningful and relevant way.” he said.
Newly elected Vice-President, Shashi Amin, has been spearheading special initiatives of IEEMA. While being elected, he expressed that “It is an honour to assume the role of Vice President of IEEMA, and I am grateful to be part of the newly elected presidium. This year, my primary objective will be to enhance IEEMA’s B2B Connects and to expand ELECRAMA into an even more significant platform.”
