ITM Vocational University Hosts Seminar on “AI in Research” to Empower Faculty with Emerging Technologies

Vadodara, June 17th, 2025: The Research Project Committee, headed by Dr. Anupama Mishra, has successfully organized a seminar on “AI in Research,” targeted at enlightening the participants about the uses of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in academic and industrial research.

The seminar encompassed an insightful keynote presentation by Dr. Chetan Agrawal, whose profound knowledge about the nexus between the AI tools and modern research was imparted to the audience. The much awaited talk crossed many issues: data analysis, pattern recognition, predictive modeling, the ethics of AI in research, and so forth. Dr. Agrawal highlighted the transformational potential of AI and articulated pragmatic recommendations on incorporating AI tools into existing and future projects.

The event had a positive participation from 41 faculty members from various departments of the university. With the session being highly interactive, participants could consider practical AI applications in the real world and enjoy a meaningful learning experience as researchers, at any level.

In a dedicated session, Dr. Anupama Mishra provided an insightful overview of the Advanced Research Grant Scheme offered by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF). She elaborated on the key aspects of the scheme, including eligibility criteria, the procedure for drafting a compelling research proposal, and the financial support available under the grant. Additionally, she highlighted the total funding amount offered by ANRF and emphasized the importance of adhering to the application deadline.
