Noida, Mar 09: Reinforcing its commitment to clinical excellence and continuous learning, Kailash Hospital & Neuro Institute, Sector–71, Noida, organized a comprehensive Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on Thursday. The academic session brought together leading specialists and medical practitioners to discuss advancements in robotic-assisted surgeries and the management of high-risk pregnancies—areas that are transforming modern patient care.
The CME served as a platform for meaningful knowledge exchange, focusing on how innovation, precision, and multidisciplinary coordination are improving patient outcomes across specialties.
Dr Aditya Sharma, Senior Consultant – HPB & GI Oncology, opened the scientific discussions with an in-depth session on the “Role of Robotic Surgery in GI & HPB Cancers.” He explained how robotic technology is enhancing surgeons’ ability to perform complex cancer procedures with greater precision and control. By enabling better visualization and meticulous dissection in delicate anatomical regions, robotic systems are helping reduce surgical trauma, minimize blood loss, and support faster recovery.
“Robotic technology has significantly raised the standards of oncological surgery,” said Dr. Sharma. “It allows us to approach complex cases with enhanced confidence and precision. Academic forums like this CME are vital to ensure these advanced techniques are adopted safely and effectively for the benefit of patients.”
The second session, led by Dr Nitin Srivastava, Senior Consultant – Orthopaedics & Joint Replacement Surgeon, focused on “Robotic Knee Replacement.” He highlighted how robotic-assisted systems are improving implant positioning and alignment accuracy, leading to better joint balance and long-term functional outcomes. The integration of technology with surgical expertise, he noted, is enabling more personalized treatment planning and improved patient satisfaction.
“Robotic-assisted knee replacement represents a significant advancement in orthopaedic care,” Dr Srivastava shared. “When technology complements surgical skill, patients benefit from greater accuracy, reduced discomfort, and improved mobility.”
Addressing maternal healthcare, Dr Neelam Benara, Consultant – Obstetrics & Gynaecology, delivered an engaging session on “High-Risk Pregnancy.” She emphasized the importance of early risk assessment, vigilant monitoring, and collaborative care in managing complex pregnancies. Her session underscored how timely interventions and structured follow-up protocols play a crucial role in ensuring safer outcomes for both mother and child.
The programme was graced by Dr. Shrikant Sharma, Director, Kailash Hospital & Neuro Institute, Sector–71, Noida, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he reiterated the importance of continuous medical education in an era of rapidly evolving medical technologies and treatment approaches.
“Medical excellence demands continuous learning and adaptation. Initiatives such as this CME are a reflection of Kailash Healthcare’s commitment to keeping our physicians aligned with the latest global advancements across robotic surgery, orthopaedics, and maternity care. The growth of our medical team directly enhances the quality of care we deliver to our patients, and that remains our highest priority,” said Dr. Shrikant Sharma.
The CME witnessed enthusiastic participation from doctors across the region, fostering interactive discussions and case-based exchanges. Through such initiatives, Kailash Hospital continues to strengthen its culture of collaborative learning and reaffirm its dedication to advancing healthcare standards in the community.
