Thiruvananthapuram, March 8: Kerala Fibre Optic Network Ltd (KFON) has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Trivandrum Management Association (TMA) and Women Entrepreneurs Network (WEN) to promote digital empowerment and support the growth of women entrepreneurship. The agreement, signed as part of International Women’s Day celebrations, aims to enhance digital access, skills and opportunities for women entrepreneurs and women-led startups.
As part of the collaboration, initiatives will be rolled out to support women entrepreneur organisations and women-led startups by providing high-speed internet connectivity through the KFON network and enabling them to effectively adopt digital technologies for business growth. The partnership also aims to empower the exclusive She Team by facilitating last-mile connectivity using KFON’s digital infrastructure.
The initiative will further facilitate training programmes, workshops, seminars and awareness campaigns will be organised on areas such as digital technologies, e-commerce, online marketing and cyber security to strengthen the digital capabilities of women entrepreneurs.
“By leveraging KFON’s digital infrastructure, this collaboration will open up new opportunities for women entrepreneurs, helping them scale their ventures and contribute more actively to economic growth,” said Dr. Santosh Babu, IAS (Retd), Principal Secretary & Managing Director of KFON.
The MoU was signed at a function held at the Trivandrum Management Association, attended by Dr. Santhosh Babu, IAS (Retd), Shri. S. N. Raghuchandran Nair, President, Trivandrum Management Association, and Resmi Maxim, President, Women Entrepreneurs Network.
