Luxury Housing Boom: Delhi-NCR Leads India’s Shift Toward Premium Homes

Nov 28: Luxury housing is emerging as the top choice for homebuyers and investors across Delhi-NCR. According to the latest ANAROCK housing sales report, buyers are shifting away from budget 1 and 2 BHK homes and increasingly opting for premium and luxury properties that offer better amenities, locations, and long-term value.

In the last six months alone, Delhi-NCR recorded home sales worth ₹75,859 crore, signalling strong market confidence. Across India’s top seven cities, more than 1.93 lakh homes were sold between April–September 2025, with a total value of ₹2.98 lakh crore, up 7% from last year. If this momentum continues, housing sales may cross ₹6.65 lakh crore by FY 2025-26, reflecting nearly 19% annual growth.

Cities like Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, and Chennai also reported strong sales, highlighting a nationwide shift towards high-end living spaces with superior infrastructure and lifestyle offerings.

Industry leaders say the trend is driven by stable interest rates, improving employment opportunities, and growing demand for secure, well-designed homes.

Harvinder Singh Sikka, Managing Director, Sikka Group notes that buyers now prefer properties that ensure both safety and comfort.

Kushagr Ansal, Director of Ansal Housing adds that improved economic conditions are encouraging people to invest more confidently in premium homes.
