Sid Mathur is the founder of Khoya Mithai, a brand that brings a fresh take on traditional Indian sweets. With a strong background in the F&B industry and a deep appreciation for food, he’s built Khoya into a brand that combines heritage with a modern touch. Each piece of mithai is handcrafted using high-quality ingredients, without artificial additives, and packaged with care.

Born in Delhi and raised between the cities of Delhi and London, Sid studied at The British School and later at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University. He began his career in private banking and equity trading in London, but his deep-rooted passion for food eventually led him into the world of restaurants and hospitality. Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in more than 100 F&B projects, helping shape some of India’s most acclaimed dining experiences.

Sid’s expertise goes far beyond Khoya Mithai. He has been a culinary driving force behind some of India’s most celebrated restaurants, including Smoke House Deli, Social, and Smoke House Room, during his time with the Impresario Group. He is also the founder of Secret Ingredient, India’s leading hospitality consultancy for the restaurant & food industry, where he has worked with top-tier clients like The Oberoi, Swiggy, Khyber, DLF, IKEA, Krispy Kreme, and Select City Walk.

More recently, Sid has also co-founded two restaurant brands, Bomba and Niko. While Bomba is a taqueria & pizzeria serving authentic Italian pizzas, soft-shell tacos and handmade pasta, Niko ignites Asian flavours right from signature Charcoal Robata Grill to the soaring flames of the Wok.

In 2016, Sid set out to bring back the essence of Indian mithai with Khoya. He wanted to create sweets that were true to their roots, made with high-quality natural ingredients and crafted meticulously . The Brand quickly gained recognition, finding its way into the coveted Koffee with Karan Hamper and winning the admiration of culinary icons like Chef Manish Mehrotra and Vir Sanghvi. Luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Kotak, Cartier, and Etihad Airways have also chosen Khoya for their most exclusive celebrations.

Sid remains deeply involved in every aspect of the brand, from sourcing the finest ingredients to perfecting each recipe, ensuring that Khoya continues to honour tradition, prioritise quality, and craft sweets that are as exquisite as they are delicious.
