Midnight’s innovation lies in unlocking programmable data protection capabilities that balance on-chain transparency with evolving data handling and compliance mandates. It does this by enabling developers to build advanced zero-knowledge smart contracts using a TypeScript-based language, one of the world’s most popular programming languages.
“Blockchain technologies, especially those using advanced cryptography like zero-knowledge proofs, are notoriously complex to work with. Midnight is changing that by enabling anyone familiar with TypeScript to build powerful smart contracts. With these new collaborations, the adoption of data-protecting decentralized applications will undergo rapid growth, ” said Eran Barak, Chief Executive Officer at Midnight.
Maestro, a developer-friendly platform that abstracts away complex infrastructure, is working with Midnight to provide builders with powerful data APIs and developer tools to streamline development on the Midnight network.
“Midnight addresses a major gap in the blockchain market, with the potential to unlock an entirely new set of use cases. We’re excited to be working with their team to help accelerate adoption and ecosystem growth by making the development experience as intuitive as possible,” said Marvin Bertin, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at Maestro.
Paima Studios, a Web3 ecosystem builder, is working to bring Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility to Midnight as well as exploring the use of zero-knowledge for gaming applications.
Paima has developed a module that translates code between Midnight DApps and EVM concepts, so with just a few lines of code, developers can get full EVM endpoint support and allow DApp users to view their Midnight assets in a MetaMask wallet. This tooling will appeal to Ethereum developers who are interested in building on Midnight.
“Midnight is an early player in bringing a new class of cryptographic techniques to life and I think that, combined with the founding team’s track record, it has a lot of potential to become something great,” said Sebastien Guillemot, co-founder at Paima Studios. “This collaboration has the potential to give millions of developers access to not only Midnight’s data protection solutions, but blockchain more broadly”.
Sindri, a zero-knowledge developer cloud, will work with Midnight to shorten the proving times for zero-knowledge proofs, increasing the spectrum of addressable use cases for Midnight developers by reducing the time and costs to generate zero-knowledge proofs, which are important considerations when designing ZK-powered B2B and B2C applications.
“For zero-knowledge technology to thrive, developers need accessible, modern tools that integrate seamlessly into their workflows. Through our collaboration with Midnight, we’re fulfilling this vision while enabling organizations to develop privacy-first applications that meet regulatory standards and ensure users retain control over their personal data,” said Stasia Carson, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder at Sindri.
The introduction of these ecosystem partners will benefit the Midnight network as it prepares for its anticipated mainnet launch in 2025. Midnight invites developers and teams looking to push the boundaries of data protection and scalability in blockchain to get in touch.
Relevant updates on the Midnight ecosystem and other milestones will be shared on Midnight’s Telegram. Visit midnight.network to learn more.
