
New Delhi, Mar 17th: MILESTONE organization in collaboration with Vishwa Yuvak Kendra organized a seminar on the occasion of International Women’s Day on 13th March 2026 at Mata Sundari College for Women, University of Delhi. The event was organized in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) & Mata Sundari College.
For many years, MILESTONE and Vishwa Yuvak Kendra have been organizing International Women’s Day programs not only to raise awareness about gender equality and women empowerment, but also to recognize and appreciate women achievers who inspire others through their work and dedication.
The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and Saraswati Vandana, marking the beginning of the celebration. This was followed by the first panel discussion, where young women leaders Ms. Saumya, Ms. Ananya Chawla, Ms. Siddhi Jain, Ms. Komal Pandey, and Ms. Shivani Singh shared their inspiring journeys and experiences, encouraging young women to take leadership roles in society.
The second panel discussion was graced by distinguished speakers including Adv. Pushplata Rathi, Former CWC Member; Dr. Sunita Bahmani, Professor, Aditi Mahavidyalaya, University of Delhi; Dr. Rakesh Choudhary, Assistant Professor, Aditi Mahavidyalaya; Dr. Uzma Nadeem, Assistant Professor, Mata Sundari College; and Dr. Karan Sachdeva, Assistant Professor, Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi. The panelists shared their valuable insights on gender equality, youth leadership, and the role of education in empowering women.
The third panel discussion featured youth leaders from MILESTONE, National Service Scheme (NSS), and MilestoneIndia Research Foundation, including Ms. Chinky Gupta, Ms. Priyanka Sharma, Ms. Ankita Singh, Ms. Aditi Singh (President, NSS), Ms. Syeda Munaza Rizwi (Vice President, NSS), and Ms. Shivani Anand, who shared their experiences in community engagement and social leadership.
The event was graced by Dr. Harpreet Kaur, Principal, Mata Sundari College, as the Chief Guest, who delivered an inspiring address highlighting the importance of women’s leadership, education, and equal opportunities.
Mr. Rajesh Kumar, LDM, New Delhi District, Canara Bank, also addressed the gathering and appreciated the impactful work carried out by MILESTONE for the betterment of society.
Other distinguished guests present at the event included Adv. Ashu Gupta, Ms. Anita Relan (FLC, Canara Bank), Ms. Dharti Varshney (Senior Manager – Projects, Mahavir International Delhi), and Ms. Kiran Sharma (Editor-in-Chief, News Folder).
During the event, Special Awards were presented to Ms. Mansha Dhingra, Project Coordinator, MILESTONE, and Ms. Chinky Gupta, Project Coordinator, MILESTONE, for their dedication and contribution towards social development. Members of the NSS team were also honored with certificates and awards.
Women achievers from Mata Sundari College, University of Delhi, community youth leaders, and students from various colleges were recognized for their excellent work and contributions in different fields and towards social development.
Ms. Rama Sharma, Director, MilestoneIndia Research Foundation, extended her support to the event and appreciated the efforts of the organizing team.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Manish Sharma, Founder and President of MILESTONE Organization, said:

The seminar concluded with a strong message encouraging youth and community members to continue promoting gender equality, leadership, and women empowerment in society.
