The Indian Racing Festival (IRF), India’s premier motorsport property, flagged off once again with Mobil1 onboarded as the performance partner for the 2025 season. Following a successful collaboration in 2024, Mobil1 brand’s advanced synthetic engine oils will continue to power the high-performance machines of both the Indian Racing League (IRL) and the FIA-certified Formula 4 Indian Championship (F4IC).
The IRL remains India’s only franchise-based, gender-neutral, four-wheel racing league, featuring six city teams that bring together elite international drivers, homegrown Indian talent, and female racers in a shared-car format, backed by both precision and strategy. Alongside, the F4IC continues to serve as the first FIA-accredited Formula 4 championship in the country – deemed as a critical stepping stone for young drivers looking to progress to higher tiers of single-seater racing while earning Super Licence points on home soil.
With both championships set to unfold across five high-intensity race weekends at some of India’s most challenging and scenic circuits, Mobil1 brand’s continued association showcases its emphasis upon high performance, safety, and innovation: elements that constitute the core of Indian motorsport. The IRF race cars will be powered by Mobil 1™ 5W-40, a full-synthetic engine oil known for its triple-action formula that delivers enhanced protection, cleaning power, and performance under extreme track conditions.
“Mobil1 brand’s consistency in performance and trust in technology makes them the perfect performance partner for us. Their legacy in motorsport, coupled with their continued support to our vision of upscaling Indian motorsport, makes this a very natural and valued collaboration. Together, we aim to raise the bar for racing excellence in India once again in 2025.” said Mr. Akhilesh Reddy, Chairman & Managing Director of Racing Promotions Pvt. Ltd. (RPPL), the promoter of the Indian Racing Festival (IRF).
Mobil1, a flagship brand under ExxonMobil, has consistently led the global synthetic motor oil market. Since its inception in 1974, Mobil 1™ has become synonymous with performance, endurance, and technical superiority – qualities that resonate deeply with the spirit of the Indian Racing Festival. With over 51 years of pushing boundaries, Mobil1 brand continues to fuel engines across elite motorsport categories around the world.
Mr. Ankush Khanna, CEO, ExxonMobil Lubricants Pvt Ltd, said, “The Indian Racing Festival is a platform that is shaping the future of motorsport in India. For us at ExxonMobil, the partnership is a perfect alignment of values, innovation and performance. Through this partnership we’re helping fuel the ambitions of a new generation of drivers and engineers, and we are proud of it. It’s about showcasing what’s possible when world-class technology meets a country determined to make its mark in global racing and we are glad to support the ecosystem.”
“High-performance racing demands precision, endurance, and the ability to perform under relentless pressure & that’s exactly where Mobil1 brand thrives. Our lubricants are the result of decades of engineering refinement, designed to protect and optimize engines at the very edge of their limits. Partnering with the Indian Racing Festival allows us to prove this on track, while also contributing to a motorsport ecosystem in India that is fast becoming both: globally credible as well as inspiring when it comes to providing a platform to aspiring drivers across the nation.”, said Mr. Kapil Mittal, Director – Consumer Marketing for South Asia Pacific, Mobil.
The 2025 Indian Racing Festival kickstarted on August 16, 2025, at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore, marking the start of a season that will test skill, strategy, and endurance across India’s premier racing circuits. With more races planned through November, each event will bring fans closer to the drivers, teams, and quality engineering that define modern Indian motorsport. As the engines fire up for IRF 2025, India’s premier motorsport IP stands poised to push Indian motorsport into one of its most competitive and globally connected season yet, thereby setting new benchmarks for performance, inclusivity, and sporting excellence.
